Stop saying ''How old are you ?'' How to express your age in different ways?
The most frequent question you can hear is '' How old are you?''.We sometime consider this question as an impolite question. A lot of people do not like to say their age,but they have to say it. Furthermore, a lot of people are afraid of asking this questions because the are afraid of getting embarrassed,if someone refused to answer .Therefore,be careful when you ask . We are going to explain many ways to talk about your age,and to ask about age.

A lot of students only use '' how old are you ?'' when they ask about their age. There are many ways to say it.

Mike is thirteen years old.
Mike is nineteen years of age.
Mike is 13.
Mike is aged thirteen.
Note:
1)
It is wrong to say ''Mike has 13 years old''.We do not use '' verb to have'' to express age .We just use '' verb to be ''
لاحظ انه من الخطأ استخدام have/has عندما نتحدث عن العمر
2) It is wrong to say ''I am aged 13'',but you can say'' he is aged thirteen''
من الخطأ استخدام التعبير be aged مع الضمير I

Baby : Birth to age of one
infant: Birth to one
Child : From early age to 15
Teenager: 13 to 15
young person /youth: 15 to 20
young man/woman: 21 to 30
Middle age person: 40
Old person: 50
Note:
The word '' People '' is considered countable and plural because you can say ''I saw three people in the party'',so you can count it.
