Not Only,But Also قاعده
We use ''Not only,but also'',when we want to connect two sentences together .It is considered one of the best important rules in English grammar.It is the best structure to make your writing seem more academic and formal.
تعتبر هذه القاعده من اهم القواعد لكي تقوم بربط جملتين معا. .فهي تقوم بربط الجملتين معا بطريقه اكثر رسميه واكاديميه.
To link two Subjects لكي تربط فاعليين
Mike is clever John is clever
Not only Mike but also John is clever
Not only + The first Subject+But also +The second subject +Verb(the verb must follow the second subject )
EX
1)I sleep early. John sleeps early.
Not only I but also John sleeps early.
Note:
The verb in this sentence followed the second subject.
2)The teacher is working hard. The students are working hard.
Not only the teacher but also the students work hard .
She does not only insult her brother but she also kicks him out.
2)Mike is working . Mike is studying .
Mike is not only working hard but he is also studying .
Note: ملاحظه
''Also'' comes after Verb To Be .
1)She cleans the room. She sweeps the floor.
She not only cleans the room but she also sweeps the floor.
2)Mike does his homework. Mike helps his classmates in their homework.
Mike not only does his homework but he also helps his classmate in their homework.
1)He is smart. He is talented .
He is not only smart but also talented.
2)They killed the mother. They killed the baby.
They killed not only the mother but also the baby.

To link two verbs لكي تربط فعليين
We have two ways to connect two verbs .
يوجد طريقتين لربط فعلين
1) The First Way الطريقه الاولي
I sang a song . I played piano.
I did not only sing a song but I also played piano.
Subject +Auxiliary+not only +First Verb +But+Subject+Also +Second Verb .
1)She insults her brother. She kicks him out.
2)Mike is working . Mike is studying .
Mike is not only working hard but he is also studying .
Note: ملاحظه

Subject+not only+verb + but+The subject+also +verb

To link two objects,adjectives or adverbs. لنربط بين مفعولين او صفتين او حاليين
She cooks the breakfast. She cooks the dinner.
She cooks not only the breakfast but also the dinner.
Subject +verb +not only+object/adjective/adverb+but also+ object/adjective/adverb.
1)He is smart. He is talented .
He is not only smart but also talented.
2)They killed the mother. They killed the baby.
They killed not only the mother but also the baby.
